O5 EPOS Intellectual Output comprises of the Curriculum of the EPOS Intensive Study Programme on Organic food & farming organised at Warsaw University of Life Sciences in July-August 2015.

The EPOS Intensive Study Programme gathered the best lecturers from partner universities, and thus allowed participants to gain international, multidisciplinary, high quality knowledge unavailable in standard educational programme of a single university. Students worked in multinational groups and thus benefited from special learning conditions. It gave them a new perspective on the studied topic, strengthened their communication skills, built their confidence in communication in English, and enhanced their ability to adapt to new situations. Knowledge & skills gained during the Programme surely increased their chances on the labour market.

Main subjects covered in the Programme included: History & philosophy of organic farming; Nutrient management in organic farming; Plant protection, weed control, soil CO2 fluxes and soil C storage in organic & sustainable agriculture; Organic plant breeding; Organic husbandry & animal welfare; IFOAM principles; SWOT analysis of the farms; Environmental integration in agriculture; Ecosystem services; Fair trade, slow food, local, traditional and regional food; Organic sector in Europe; Marketing in the organic food chain; Quality, safety & health impacts of organic foods.
